Don’t change the default screen. It is always a good idea to create a configuration key and use the key and change the screen. That way you always have the default screen which sap provides. Once you have a configuration key use the configuration key to the role then who ever have that role will be having that changed screen. Let me write about the configuration key in another post.
Now click on the new configuration it will ask for the role configuration key. You need to use your configuration key.
Once you have the Role Config key you can start the configuration of the screen. Let us see some common changes that we usually do in the screen by configuration.
Look at the screen. It is like excel sheet with columns and rows. You have to fit the label and input fields with in that row and column.

The information is very useful and systematic, especially the functional guys like me.
Very well presented.
Thanks and best wishes,

Thx for the info on creating a new field. I am wondering how to configure this new field with some number range. Like for example, the “family name” should have an SNRO number when the page loads.
